Andre is a native New Yorker but has called Atlanta home since 1988. A graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo with a degree in Management Information Systems, Andre is a Business Planning Analyst for Hewlett Packard Corporation. Since 1992 Andre has served as the Executive Director of the Miss Fulton County Scholarship Pageant, a Miss Georgia and Miss America Preliminary. He is also certified as a judge in the Miss America system through the state of Georgia. Andre has judged Miss America local preliminaries in seven states throughout the Southeast and Midwest. He has also judged the 2004 Miss West Virginia Pageant, the 2006 Miss New Hampshire Pageant and the 2009 Miss South Dakota Pageant. Andre has extensive training in Tap, Jazz, Ballet and African forms of dance and volunteers his time and talents to the Onyx Dance Company. In 1991, Andre was selected Mr. Georgia Male America and competed in Phoenix, Arizona for the national Mr. Male America title. There, he was Preliminary Formal Wear winner and 3rd Runner Up to Mr. Male America. Andre is involved in many social and civic organizations including Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. where he is the President of his Alumni Chapter, he serves as the Financial Secretary for the Georgia District of Alpha, and the National Chair of the Miss Black & Gold Pageant. He attends church at Hillside Chapel and Truth Center in Atlanta where he is the Assistant Director of the teenage auxiliary organization, The Youth of Truth.
